We are here to work with fellow friends to preserve the heritage of Braintree's most iconic and recognisable landmarks.

The aim of the Friends of the Braintree Fountain is to make sure the fountain and surrounding area is maintained to a safe and visually pleasing standard whilst preserving the heritage of the site. This group will also aim to raise funds for the maintenance of the fountain and maintenance of the horticultural areas found within the footprint of the fountain.

The Friends of the Braintree Fountain has 4 main objectives:

1. To promote and engage with the local community the significance of the heritage of the Braintree Fountain.

2. To maintain the fountain and surrounding areas to keep it Braintree’s most iconic landmark.

3. To fundraise and assist in organising community events based around/for the fountain’s preservation.

4. To provide the opportunity for Friends of the Braintree Fountain to meet, interact and socialise with

fellow friends, as well as members of the public.
