Our Charity

We are the Braintree Recreation CIO! Currently we are the custodians of the Braintree Recreation Ground, the iconic Braintree Fountain as well as several properties around Braintree.

We were formally known as the Braintree and Bocking Recreation Grounds Trust but formed into a Charitable Incorporated Organisation as of 24th Feb 2021, as mentioned in our press release on 11/03/2021.

What we do..

Our work includes:

• Making sure our assets are safe for our end users to enjoy.
• Meeting on a regular basis to make decisions regarding our assets and users.
• Maintaining our grounds and buildings for our end users.
• Liaising with our stake holders to better the future of our grounds.
• Keeping our grounds for their intended purpose - recreational use!
• Help other clubs/organisations where we can.
